No Static At All: Radio in the 21st Century

What we have traditionally defined as radio is rapidly changing. No longer is the equation just studio to transmitter to FM tuner. "Radio" is accessible on the internet and your mobile phone (Pandora, Slacker, Last.FM, Spotify et al). And not only that, but in this new model, you as the consumer have near total control.

Where does this leave traditional local radio and, does anyone care? Will the ubiquity of the internet cement online and mobile music channels (like those mentioned above) to the point that local radio is no longer relevant?

In this session I'll discuss what I believe traditional radio properties need to do to navigate the ever-shifting radio landscape and what it means for you.
