Volunteer!
Here are the needs we’ll have for the event itself if you are wanting to volunteer. To do so, please contact Ted Chapin or Alison Groves.

-Drop bags: We need folks to pack the goodie bags and a “team leader” to take responsibility for scheduling a packing party and getting the bags to the venue Saturday morning.

-Load in/Set up: We will not need as much setup labor as we have in the past because the venue will be setting out tables chairs, etc. In addition to event directors who should be present for each load in/set up/tear down we will need 6 at the venue on Friday 10/17 at 6 PM, Saturday 10/18 at 7AM, and to assemble ~ 4:45PM at the registration desk for load out on Saturday 10/18.

-Registration/Information: Arrive at venue ~ 7:30 AM Saturday morning. We’ll probably need 4 at the desk during peak check in/registration time and the other 2 can float upstairs/downstairs to assist with info…elevator traffic. The rest of the day we’ll only need one or two actually “working the desk” for information or late registrations. Kathy will lead this team and manage their rotations on and off the desk throughout the day.

-Program Management - This, That, The OtherCamp:
These folks need to be on top of their game and in tune with the schedule so we’d like to have the same 2 people all day, but we could get 4 if folks want to rotate in and out the first and second “halves” of the day. Responsibilities will be to manage sessions and provide general assistance/info to attendees and speakers in the divided conference room. These folks will coordinate with Andrew Duthie and be on site Saturday morning at 7:00AM.

-Video/Ustream: Jason Moore has volunteered to run video and research Ustream. We probably need and may already have one more person dedicated to Ustream. Responsibilities will be coordinating set-up with Tech Team, and producing the Ustream of presentations in BaseCamp/main room day of event. Must be at load in Friday evening @ 6PM, and Saturday morning at 7AM.

-Runner: Must be available all day Saturday to assist with general event issues and function as “runner” day of event. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to leave the site at any moment to support event needs. Arrive at venue Saturday morning and report to Alison Groves at ~ 7:30AM.
