SpeakerUp Planned for September 7

Salutations BarCampers!

It is that time of year. Like PodCamp earlier this year, we are going to kick off the BarCamp Nashville 11 SpeakerUp, in conjuction with our friends at Social Media Club Nashville

My name is Cal Evans, I am your humble Speaker Butler this year. It is my pleasure to invite you to join us at 6:00 pm on Sept 7th at the wonderful Yazoo Brewing Company for the kickoff.

We have several special guests that will share with us their tips, tricks and stories about speaking at BarCamp and then I'll wrap things up with a few words of inspiration of my own. Hopefully between myself, the speakers and the BCN11 crew that will be in attendance we will answer any and all questions you may have about speaking at BCN11.

Our special guests who will be helping to sprinkle the BarCamp Nashville pixi-dust are as follows.

  • Tara Aaron [@aaronsanderslaw] - Tara is a local IP attorney and PodCamp '11 speaker alumni. Tara will talk about her experience, how it has helped her and how it can help you.
  • Rob Robinson [@thinktrain] - A local Public Relations professional, Rob spoke at BCN10 and will share with you what he learned along the way.
  • Scott Gordon [@sgordon70] - A local recruiter, Scott is one of the bad boys of tech in Nashville. Equally at home talking about motorcycles or the Nashville technology scene, Scott will be sharing his experience from speaking at PodCamp '11.
  • Courtenay Rogers [@courtenayrogers] - BarCamp crew veteran and speaker alumni, Courtenay Rogers will share with us her more recent experience speaking at PodCamp '11.

Of course, you have to listen to me also as I wrap things up and send you on your way, or at least on your way back to the bar.

We won't keep you long, no more than a pint or two. We promise. Attendance is not required to submit a proposal for BCN11 but showing up is required if you want your questions answered or just want to network with the crew and other potential speakers. You can spend the rest of the evening crafting your session proposals, fueled by the excitement of the evening's event.

Come be a part of BCN11 SpeakerUp! Learn, laugh, meet, and greet; most of all, catch the excitement for BCN11 and find your place. Please RSVP here
